Sautéed Artichokes

  • 12 oz package of frozen artichokes hearts (the ones I found are "Private Selection" from King Soopers in the frozen vegetable aisle)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • dash of lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

Thaw the frozen artichoke hearts (For the Private selection, I heated in the microwave for 4 minutes). Set aside. Heat a frying pan over high heat until hot. Add oil and then garlic and saute briefly until the garlic starts to turn brown. Immediately add the artichoke hearts and stir for everything to be mixed together. Add salt and pepper and continue sauteing until artichokes are lightly brown. Remove from heat and dash with lemon juice then serve.
