Multi-Grain Cereal

Jump to navigationJump to searchThis isn't the most exciting cereal around. However, it's full of nutrition and pretty good when topped with milk, fruit and a little bit of sugar.
- 1/2 cup Amaranth
- 1/2 cup Barley
- 1/2 cup Roasted Buckwheat Groats
- 1/2 cup Millet
- 1/2 cup Steel Cut Oats
- 1/2 cup Quinoa
- 1/2 cup Cracked Wheat
- 1/2 cup Brown Rice
- 1/2 cup Flax Seed, Ground
- 1/2 cup Wheat Germ
- 1/2 cup Sunflower Seeds
Mix all ingredients together. Makes around 11 cups of cereal. To cook cereal, bring 2 1/2 cups of water to a boil and add 1 cup of cereal. Lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Let sit for 5 minutes and then serve with normal hot cereal toppings such as fruit, nuts, sweeteners and/or milk.
