Cinnamon Flax Scones

  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup flax seed meal
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Mix everything but butter, buttermilk and raisins. Cut in butter. Add buttermilk but don't over mix. Add raisins.

Knead 5-7 times on floured board.

Roll out to 1/2 inch thick. Cut int 8 triangles.

Place on ungreased baking sheet.

Grease with 1 egg white mixed with 1 Tbs water.

Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes.
