Chunky Applesauce with Raisins
From Gem's Vegetarian Cooking
- 4 medium Apples (I used Granny Smith), peeled and chopped
- 3/4 cup Water
- 2 tbs Brown Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 1/2 cup Raisins
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
Combine all ingredients into a medium saucepan and simmer on medium heat for about 10 minutes. Uncover and boil until liquid is the desired consistency (another 5-10 minutes).
