Chocolate-Hazelnut Cookies

Adapted from Better Homes and Gardens New Cook Book's Coconut-Pecan Cookies.

  • 1/2 Margarine*
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Unsweetened Cocoa
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1-2 tbs Water
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Hazelnuts, chopped

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Cream margarine, sugar, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Add water and vanilla and beat until combined. Add flour and stir until combined. Mix in chopped hazelnuts.

Drop about a tablespoon of dough for each cookie on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in oven for 8-10 minutes. Cool cookies for a minute and then transfer to a wire rack.

* The nutritional information below assumes you're using Earth Balance's Margarine.
