Brown Gravy

Source: Mommy Stone

  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vegex
  • 1 qt cold water

Brown first 4 ingredients. When brown add vegex. Mix well. Add water stirring constantly so it does not get lumpy. May add more or less water to get desired consistency.
