These are similar to Larabars

  • 1 1/2 cups Dates (6 oz)
  • 1/4 cup chopped Walnuts (1 oz)

Put in food processor and process until a thick, even paste. If desired add a couple sprinkles of cinnamon/nutmeg (Ted finds this irritating at high altitudes).

Scoop out the date mixture and form it into a rectangle. Cut into 4 sections.

If desired, toast in oven at 200 degrees for about an our. This makes a slightly crisper shell and it seems to hold up better when

You can substitute various fruits and nut mixtures in using this ratio and make different varieties of these bars.
